Current Budget Considerations

Rancho Santa Fe is qualified as a basic aid school district. Accordingly, most of our school’s annual public funding comes from the receipt of local property tax revenues. In the last three years, local property tax revenues have declined $510,256, or 6.2% from $8,235,838 to $7,725,582. Furthermore, combined federal and state revenues have declined $535,493, or 68.3% from $783,688 to $248,195 over the same time period. These negative developments create an urgent need to ensure that we are able to maintain existing/ planned academic and enrichment programs in order to retain our position as one of the best public schools in the country. As a result, the school has requested a grant from the RSF Education Foundation this year of $1,000,000.
